| Who is this experience for? Who all should join? | Yūgen Toki is designed for women who carry a great deal in their daily lives and are seeking a rare opportunity to slow down, be cared for, and truly rest. While all adult women are welcome to apply, we’ve found that women between the ages of 30 and 60 tend to resonate most deeply with the pace, depth, and intention of this experience. |
| Why do I have to apply to reserve a spot? Why can't I just book directly? | We host only a small number of retreats each year, welcoming a maximum of ten women at a time. Each retreat is shaped by its setting, season, and the group that gathers. Rather than open bookings, we use an application process to ensure that the experience feels supportive, aligned, and genuinely restorative — for you, and for everyone attending. This allows us to curate each retreat with care and intention, rather than volume. |
| What is the process to apply for a spot? What happens next? | To begin, simply email us at [email protected] to express your interest. There is no obligation or payment required at this stage. We’ll then arrange a brief conversation to explore whether this retreat is the right fit for you — and whether we’re the right hosts for what you’re seeking. If both feel aligned, you’ll receive details to confirm your place. For detailed next steps, please click here |
| When is payment due? What is the refund and cancellation policy? | If a mutual fit is confirmed, you’ll receive payment details to reserve your place. All cancellation and refund terms will be shared clearly via email before any payment is made, so you can decide with clarity and care. In the unlikely event that Yūgen Toki is unable to confirm your place after payment, a full refund will be issued. |
| How can I find out about future retreats, if the current one does not work with my schedule? | Since we intentionally have a only few retreats a year, the best way to stay informed is to email us at [email protected], with an 'interest to stay informed for future retreats' and we will contact you when future dates are available . |
| Why isn’t Yūgen Toki on social media?? | Yūgen Toki has grown through private, word-of-mouth experiences rather than public platforms. We currently prioritize depth, discretion, and direct connection over visibility. Our work is best understood through conversation, intention, and care — rather than constant documentation. |
| Will Yūgen Toki have a social media presence in the future? | Possibly, in a way that feels aligned. If and when we choose to share publicly, it will be thoughtful and minimal — offering a sense of atmosphere and philosophy rather than ongoing commentary. Social media is not central to how we work. |

At Yūgen Toki, we host only a handful of retreats each year, welcoming a maximum of ten women per experience. Each experience is designed from the ground up — shaped by the location, the season, and the women who gather. Rather than open bookings, we accept applications. This allows us to thoughtfully curate each group and ensure that the retreat feels supportive, aligned, and genuinely restorative — for you and for everyone attending. We believe the right retreat begins long before arrival. It begins with intention, alignment, and mutual trust.
The Steps1. Express Interest
If a retreat speaks to you, we invite you to get in touch by email. This is simply an expression of interest — no payment or commitment is required at this stage.2. A Gentle Conversation
Once we hear from you, we’ll arrange a short conversation to understand what you’re hoping for, and to share more about the retreat. This is a space to ask questions, feel things out, and see whether it feels like the right mutual match.3. Reservation & Cancellation
If both parties feel aligned, you’ll receive details to reserve your place with a full payment. All the cancellation & refund terms will be shared clearly via email before any payment is made, so you can make your decision with confidence and care. If Yūgen Toki is unable to confirm your spot after full payment, you will receive a complete refund.4. Personal Preparation
Once confirmed, a member of our hosting team will connect with you to understand your intentions, preferences, and any dietary needs or allergies — so your experience feels considered and easeful from the start.5. Pre-Retreat Gathering
About a week before departure, we host a virtual meet & greet with our next retreat's Transformation Coach, Jenifer Guadren. This is a chance to meet fellow participants, ask questions, and arrive feeling grounded and supported.6. Arrival & Immersion
When you arrive at your destination airport, we’ll be there to welcome you. From that point on, you’re invited to settle in, stay present with your own experience, and communicate openly with the hosts whenever something arises.

There isn’t a rigid daily schedule — and that’s intentional. Days at Yūgen Toki are designed to feel spacious, unhurried, and quietly held. Most mornings begin slowly, with time to wake up at your own pace, enjoy a beautiful breakfast, and ease into the day. Gentle, optional practices may be offered for those who wish to participate, alongside plenty of time to rest, wander, journal, or simply be.Afternoons often unfold around shared meals, nature, and unstructured time — moments to connect with others, enjoy the setting, or retreat into solitude. Evenings tend to feel warm and grounding, with sundowners, gourmet degustation dinners, conversation, and occasional reflective or restorative sessions.Throughout the day, there is no pressure to participate in everything. You’re encouraged to listen to your own rhythm. The overall feeling is one of being supported without being managed — cared for, without being “worked on.” Our Transformation Coach of this retreat, Jenifer Gaudren will be there to help each and everyone of you and to lightly hold you and guide you into your natural rhythm.
